Beginning knit class
If you are thinking about giving knitting a try, join Kathi at Paper Habit for a Knit 1 class. You will learn how to cast on, knit a basic stitch and cast off at the end. You will make a cowl that will be perfect for yourself or as a gift. Your yarn and needles will be supplied.
Avani Shirt
This fast knitting cotton shirt is perfect for warmer weather and easy to knit. Join us to knit this beautiful tank that can for yourself or a gift for someone special.
Fingerless Gloves
Calling all beginner knitters! Join Kathi to learn how to make simple fingerless gloves. You will learn how to read an easy pattern and will knit and purl. The beauty of this project is it is knit flat so you don't have to fight double pointed needles.
Iris Shawl
This popular shawl is knit with cotton yarn so you can wear it in warmer weather all the way from autumn through winter and into spring. This a great early project that is simple to knit. If you have learned to knit and purl and are ready for the next step, this is a great project.
Crochet Hat
Calling all Crochet lovers! Learn to make this beautiful Autumn Wheat Hat by Briana K Designs. In this project you will single and half double crochet plus do the wheat pattern stitch. You much know how to crochet to join us.
Beginning Watercolor
This is a beginning watercolor class taught by Kathi. All materials are provided and you do not need to know how to paint. This is a 4 week course where you will learn the basics of working with watercolor and make several small art pieces. We meet once a week.
Watercolor 2
So you've learn a little about paint and are ready to take it to the next step! Join Kathi for Watercolor 2 to learn how to paint a nighttime scene, a traditional still life and more. All materials will be provided in this 4 weeks class. You will need to have taken our Watercolor 1 to join us.
Landscapes 2
Join us for the all new 2024 landscape watercolor class. We will meet once a week for 4 weeks. If you have any worries about having to draw a lot, these are simple landscapes and the focal points will be sketched for you.
Cancelation Policy
Q: What happens if I have to cancel after I have paid?
A: If you are unable to attend, you will get store credit if the cancellation is made more than 1 week prior to the course date. (instructors have to purchase supplies) No refunds of any kind are available for cancellations made within 1 week prior to the course date. In lieu of attending, you can also choose to transfer your spot to a friend, but must notify us in advance.
Q: What if Paper Habit cancels my class?
A: In the event Paper Habit has to cancel a workshop due to low enrollment, or instructor illness, you will receive a 100% refund for the workshop in the form of your original payment. Or, you can opt for a credit towards another class. Class cancellations usually happen 48 hours in advance. In some specials cases, classes can be cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.
Q: Who can take a workshop? Can I bring my kids?
A: Unless otherwise noted in the workshop description, our workshops are suitable for students 14 years of age and older. Please call the shop at 209-567-0605 with any questions.
Q: Is there a wait list for workshops?
A: In the event that a Paper Habit workshop is sold out, you can request to be added to the wait list in case there are cancellations. Please call the shop or email paperhabit@gmail.com to be put on the wait list. Adding your name to the wait list does not guarantee you will be able to attend the workshop. If a space in a workshop opens up, we will give you a call to confirm you can attend. You will be notified 24 hours in advance.
